UEFA Euro 2024 Prize Money: How Much Money Will The Winners Earn?

As the Euro 2024 is knocking on the door, UEFA has revealed the UEFA Euro 2024 prize money for the soccer competition. The quadrennial sporting extravaganza is set to be held in Germany in the month of June. The tournament will welcome 24 teams from across the European continent to battle it out for the ultimate glory. Meanwhile, the head footballing body of Europe has announced the prize pool in detail ahead of the coveted competition.

Total Amount of Euro 2024 Prize Money

UEFA has increased the prize money for Euro 2024 to 331 million Euros ($360 million), which will be paid to the 24 teams participating in the European Championships in Germany this year. Each of the 24 teams is set to receive a minimum amount of 9.25 million Euros for playing in the soccer tournament, which will kick off on June 14. Additionally, European clubs will receive a further amount of 240 million Euros for allowing their players to represent their respective nations in Euro 2024.

Prize Money for Drawing/Winning a Game in UEFA Euro 2024

In the group stage, winning teams will receive a monetary award of €1 million, while in the case of a draw, each team will be paid €500,000 for securing a point.

Prize Money for Knockout Games in UEFA Euro 2024

The teams that advance to the knockout stage from the group stage will be awarded 1.5 million euros each. This amount has been fixed for the round of 16 only, as the advancing nations will receive an increased amount of prize money as long as they progress in the European Championships. The eight teams featuring in the quarter-finals will receive 2.5 million euros each. The last four teams will be awarded 4 million euros each.

Prize Money for UEFA Euro 2024 Winners & Runners-up

The champions of UEFA Euro 2024 tournament will receive a whopping amount of 8 million euros, while the runners-up will be awarded with 5 million euros.

Maximum Prize Money a Team Can Win in UEFA Euro 2024

If a team can progress to the final of the UEFA Euro 2024 and win the coveted soccer tournament, then they can earn 28.25 million euros in total. It can be possible only when a nation wins all the games they will play including the final in the European Championships.
