A Look at the Copa America Prize Money | 2024

A look at the figure of the Copa America prize money and how much the title winners get as the monetary reward after lifting the prestigious championship. 

Copa America Prize Money:

Copa America is one of the most prestigious international tournaments in the world. While the tournament has mostly been limited to the South American continent, this year the prestigious tournament will see countries like the United States of America and Canada participate in the tournament. In all, the 2024 Copa America will see 16 teams participate to win the ultimate prize of the Copa America and the Copa America prize money. 

Meanwhile, the tournament will be held in the USA for the first time since 2016. The winners of the prestigious tournament will pocket $10 million as the Copa America prize money, while the runners up will end the tournament by winning $5.5 million. Apart from the two finalists, the third placed team will win $3.0m and the other semifinalists will win $2.5m. 

The previous edition of the Copa America was held in 2021 in Brazil and saw Argentina win the 47th edition of the tournament. Similar to the prize money of 2024, Argentina took home $10m after winning the tournament and will look to defend their title this time around.
