Preview

  • Tournament: Premier League
  • Date: Sunday, Sep 15
  • Kick-off Time: 04:30 pm GMT
  • Venue: Molineux Stadium, England

Newcastle United will travel to Wolves in their second away game of the 2024/25 Premier League season at Molineux Stadium. The Magpies will aim to continue their unbeaten run in the English top-flight and secure the crucial three points

Hosts Wolves are one of the top mid-table squads in the Premier League but finished as low as 14th last season. Gary O’Neil’s side’s men have lost their five Premier League games stretching back to last season. They have a disastrous home record and have not kept a clean sheet in their last ten games against the Magpies.

Meanwhile, Newcastle United had a dream start to the new campaign as they claimed seven points in their first three league games. They are on a four-game unbeaten streak and their latest win came against Tottenham Hotspur. But there’s plenty of work to do if they want to cement their place in the top-four this season.

Wolves vs Newcastle Prediction

Just like last season, Wolves are expected to be dragged into another relegation battle this season. They are yet to record their first win of the season and recent history suggests that Gary O’Neil’s side would struggle to get a win against the Magpies. They are coming off a 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest in their last game and are one of the five Premier League teams who are yet to score a point this season.

As for Newcastle, they have started the season on a high and are coming off a 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur from their last game before the international break. Eddie Howe’s side would be disappointed after how they failed to challenge for the Premier League top four last season.
