Summary
EA FC 26 leaks are taking the community by storm as the developers appear keen on returning to the original mechanics of the game. The latest iteration of Electronic Arts's Premium Football game, FC 26, is going to reintroduce one of the oldest in-game mechanics. As per the latest leaks, the makers are looking to bring back the old acceleration system in the upcoming EA FC 26 game. As per trusted sources, EA is set to move back to the original three-tier acceleration system in the latest game's iteration.
The current version of the game still implements the expanded seven-style accelerate system that was introduced in FC 24. Acceleration simply refers to how quickly the player reaches their top pace in the game. The acceleration of a specific player is determined based on a comprehensive breakdown of their height, body type, Agility, Balance, and Strength. The acceleration of a player in the game determines how quickly they reach their top speed.
EA to reintroduce the Old Accelerate System in FC 26
One of the trusted leakers in the EA FC community recently took to his socials to announce this major change in the upcoming FC 26, which is going to be released in the month of September. @theinfinityfc took to his official X (formerly Twitter) to reveal this major leak on July 22nd, 8:43 pm UTC.
The current seven-style acceleration system was introduced in FC 24. It includes the following:-
- Explosive – Very quick start but slows over long distances; best for fast dribblers.
- Controlled Explosive – Slightly slower than Explosive with better balance.
- Mostly Explosive – A mix of Explosive and Controlled acceleration.
- Controlled – Even and steady speed; most common type.
- Controlled Lengthy – Starts slow but picks up speed with time.
- Mostly Lengthy – Has more Lengthy traits with some balance.
- Lengthy – Slow to start but becomes very fast over distance; ideal for strong, tall players.
The developers are keen on swapping this complicated acceleration mechanics with the simpler and easier-to-understand three-tier system. The original three-tier system will remove all the ‘mostly’ acceleration variations and just include Controlled, Lengthy and Explosive acceleration styles.
- Explosive – Players accelerate very quickly at the start but may lose speed over long distances.
- Lengthy – Players accelerate slowly at first but reach and maintain high speed over longer runs.
- Controlled – Players have a steady and balanced acceleration from start to finish.
Fans React to the reintroduction of the Old Accelerate System in FC 26
The EA FC community is giving a mixed response to this change, which is set to occur once the new game launches in September 2025. While some praised the new move, others were a bit more sceptical about this move. One such user @mrpatel_8577
commented.
All my attacker would be an explosive type
Another user, @Paquito95pe joined the chime and commented
Fifa17 is back
One user, @MJTruths, even made a sarcastic comment on how EA fools people by bringing back the same features every two years.
Some day people will realize all EA ever does is add and remove the same features every couple of years.
What's old is new again!
