GK- Brayan Cortes- 6/10

Brayan Cortes was the busier goalkeeper between the two. Even though he was beaten by Alvarez in the first half, there were multiple times when his save denied the Argentina National Football Team from scoring more.

LB- Gabriel Suazo- 5/10

Gabriel Suazo's important interception in the first half saved Chile from conceding another goal. He was dribbled past twice in the first half and lost the ball 6 times.

CB- Francisco Sierralta- 5.5/10

Speaking of Chile defenders, Francisco Sierralta was the best man in the backline. From reading dangerous passes to switching the ball onto the flanks, he had done it all for his team.

CB- Guillermo Maripan- 5/10

From committing tactical challenges to making strong interceptions, he was arguably one of the most important players in Chile's defense today.

RB- Felipe Loyola- 5/10

Perhaps the better fullback of the match, but Felipe Loyola was nothing remotely close to his level. And we could not see it throughout the totality of the first half.

CM- Arturo Vidal- 4.5/10

Arturo Vidal was the first man in the game to be booked by the referee. Still, he seemed to be the best player in Chile's midfield today!

CM- Rodrigo Echeverria- 4.5/10

Even though the Argentina National Football Team was winning the midfield battle, Rodrigo picked their pockets multiple times with clever play. He maintained 72% passing accuracy in the first half.

CM- Vicente Pizarro- 4/10

Vicente Pizarro has maintained 95% passing accuracy in the first half for his team. However, the midfielder was subbed off at the beginning of the second half.

RW- Lucas Cepeda- 5/10

Lucas Cepeda successfully dribbled past the Argentine defenders once in the first half. He maintained 55% passing accuracy in the first half and won 4 out of his 8 ground duels. He was booked in the 54th minute of the game.

ST- Alexis Sanchez- 6/10

The best player in the Chile National Team today, Alexis Sanchez, made some great off-the-ball runs and kept his composure between the two Argentine center-backs. However, there was no good supply for him.

LW- Dario Osorio- 5.5/10

Dario Osorio was pretty much invisible in the first half as the Chile National Football Team saw very less of the ball. However, he maintained 83 % passing accuracy and started to see more of the ball in the second half.

Sub- Fabian Hormazabal- 4/10

Fabian Hormazabal came onto the match at the beginning of the second half to try to change the course of the game.

Sub- Javier Altamirano- 4/10

GK- Dibu Martinez- 5/10

Dibu Martinez spent all the first half enjoying the game as the goalkeeper had nothing to do at all in the first 45 minutes, where his team was leading by a goal and had more possession of the ball.

LB- Nicolas Tagliafico- 5.5/10

Nicolas Tagliafico was seen more with his offensive duties than his defensive duties today. He was way up in the pitch, giving width to midfield and on the wings of his team.

CB- Cristian Romero- 6/10

Cristian Romero had to be at his best to hold his ground and keep the Chilean attacks at bay. He did just that with his towering presence and solid command of his defense line.

CB- Leonardo Balerdi- 6/10

Leonardo Balerdi was the perfect partner to Romero today. From winning his ground and aerial duels to keeping a high line in the defense to help with the team's attack, he has fulfilled his duties well.

RB- Nahuel Molina- 6/10

There were times when Nahuel Molina was so high on the pitch that it seemed as if he was playing as a left-winger. Molina was exceptional today with his track backs and ball recoveries, too.

CM- Exequiel Palacios- 6/10

In the total 45 minutes of the first half, Exequiel Palacios managed to maintain 91% passing accuracy. He won 3 out of his 4 ground duels and lost possession 10 times. But his presence in the midfield was important.

CM- Rodrigo De Paul- 6.5/10

Between Rodrigo De Paul and Vidal, De Paul seemed to be the smarter one in the field today with his play and his antics. The Argentine could not help but rile Vidal even after the 1st half whistle.

CAM- Nico Paz- 6/10

The missing piece of the puzzle. Nico Paz had a commanding presence in the midfield today. He was given more attacking duties than defense, and he has carried those duties perfectly.

LM- Thiago Almada- 6/10

From carrying the ball to making the perfect-timed pass, Thiago Almada had multiple contributions to Argentina's National Football Team's first goal.

RM- Guiliano Simeone- 6.5/10

It's exceptional to see Guiliano Simeone on the Argentine flanks as the player has improved massively over the years. Both his technical knowledge and understanding of the game have improved. At the 82nd minute, Messi's pass found him. He took the ball well but failed to finish it.

ST- Julian Alvarez- 7.5/10

The most complete forward in the world right now, Julian Alvarez, showed what a great striker he is today! He scored the first goal in the 16th minute.

Sub- Lionel Messi- 6/10

Lionel Messi came onto the match in the 56th minute and won the captain's armband right away.

Sub- Angel Correa- 4/10

Angel Correa came onto the match in the 79th minute to replace Julian Alvarez.

Sub- Facundo Medina- 4/10

Facundo Medina came onto the match along with Correa in the 79th minute.

Sub- Juan Foyth- 4/10

Juan Foyth came onto the match in the 64th minute to replace Simeone.

Manager- Lionel Scaloni- 6/10

Lionel Scaloni was not happy about his team's performance, especially since there was a lack of creativity before Lionel Messi came into the match.

Sportsdunia Man of the Match is Julian Alvarez.
