Jaylen Brown Injury

The First Round series between the Boston Celtics and Orlando Magic has been quite rough and physical so far. Though the Celts had taken a 2-0 lead heading into Game 3, Magic roared back to clinch their first win in the series. Though the Celtics still appear to be in advantage, their star Jaylen Brown's injury status is what concerns fans for the remainder of the playoffs.

During first half of Game 3, Brown tried attacking the rim while Cole Anthony was defending. As the 2024 Finals MVP went launching towards the rim, Anthony recklessly hit Brown's leg mid-arm causing the Celtics star to take a hard fall on the floor.

The Magic guard was handed a flagrant foul thereafter. However, nothing serious happened to Brown who still powered through the game despite the fall. A serious injury concern is yet to be reported by the Celtics.

Jaylen Brown Injury Update: Is He Healthy Enough to Continue Playing the Series?

Jaylen Brown nonetheless powered through the game, despite taking a hard fall during the first half. However, the Orlando Magic pulled an upset against the Celtics, clinching their first win in the series with a 95-93 score line in Game 3.

The Celtics were rather disappointing, especially in the third quarter scoring just 11 points. This marked the C's lowest points scored in any quarter this season. Furthermore, turnovers turned out to be nightmarish for Boston, with Jayson Tatum and Brown combining for 13-of-19 team TOs.

Coming back from a wrist injury, Tatum showed up for the Celtics, scoring a game-high 36 points. Brown scored 19 points while Derrick White added 16 points for the Cs.

On the other hand, Orlando Magic shined brighter than the lights at the Disney World on the floor tonight. They limited Boston to score just 9/27 3-pointers, with Kristaps Porzingis visibly struggling to shoot beyond the arc (0/3 3P). As of now, Porzingis is 0/10 from the deep in the series. Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner added 32 an 29 points respectively to add up to this Magic win.
