Jude Bellingham escapes the one-match ban following his provocative gesture in Slovakia game

Jude Bellingham can still play against Switzerland in the Euro 2024 quarter final despite having a disciplinary call from the UEFA following his controversy. After scoring the equaliser against Slovakia, the Real Madrid midfielder showed an X-rated gesture as if he was cupping his genitals.

The gesture was taken as offensive for some people and the UEFA have taken a serious action towards his gesture. A gesture which according to him was not meant to offend anyone.

“An inside joke gesture towards some close friends who were at the game,” he said via Sky Sports. “Nothing but respect for how that Slovakia team played tonight.”

Jude Bellingham is eligible for Switzerland match

What has been a relief for England fans around the world was Bellingham escaped the one-match ban owing to this issue. Goal wrote that the suspension will only be activated if in the future, Bellingham shows a similar behaviour.
