OFFICIAL: Manchester United confirm the signing of midfielder Sekou Kone

Man United have finally confirmed the signing of 18-year-old Mali prodigy Sekou Kone on a permanent deal. The defensive midfielder from Malian side Guidars FC has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs, including Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer.

Kone is one for the future who has already made a name for himself as one of Africa’s emerging football talents. He would be expected to break into the first team in the next couple of years.

United have focused heavily on younger talents with the likes of Sekou Kone, Chido Obi Martin and Yoro all joining as teenagers in this summer window.
