The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) are paying a special tribute to the Indian Armed Forces during the IPL 2025 closing ceremony at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on June 3. This gesture follows the success of Operation Sindoor, during which the Indian Armed Forces destroyed several terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

The whole closing ceremony was a huge success as it thoroughly entertained the crowd at the stadium. After the closing ceremony, the highly anticipated final between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

BCCI Secretary Announces Tribute to Indian Army

BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia had previously confirmed that the closing ceremony would honour the Armed Forces. The BCCI has already sent invitations to top military officials, including Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of Navy Staff Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal AP Singh.

“Yes, the IPL 2025 closing ceremony will honour the Indian Armed Forces,” Saikia had stated.

“We are grateful for the bravery and constant service of our armed forces. This ceremony is our tribute to their efforts under Operation Sindoor,” he added.

The event includes performances by military bands and features popular Indian singers to set the stage for the IPL 2025 grand finale. The tribute aims to highlight the nation’s appreciation for the armed forces. Some huge personalities entertained the crowd in this prestigious event.
