The game was played on May 26 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. With this win, PBKS booked their place in Qualifier 1, giving them two chances to reach the final. PBKS captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and chose to bowl first.

MI started well with Rohit Sharma and Ryan Rickelton adding 52 runs in the powerplay. But Marco Jansen broke the partnership by dismissing Rickelton. Harpreet Brar then dismissed former skipper Rohit Sharma just after the timeout. Suryakumar Yadav played a key knock and scored a solid half-century. Naman Dhir added quick runs at the end, scoring 20 off just 11 balls. PBKS bowlers Vijaykumar Vyshak and Jansen took important wickets in the middle and death overs, helping restrict MI to 184/7 in 20 overs.

In reply, PBKS lost Prabhsimran Singh early, bowled by Jasprit Bumrah for 13. However, young opener Priyansh Arya and wicketkeeper Josh Inglis put up a strong partnership for the second wicket. Both players scored impressive fifties and made the chase look easy. They handled the MI bowlers smartly and didn’t allow pressure to build.

PBKS to Qualifier 1 at Home Ground

Punjab Kings reached the target with 7 wickets in hand and a few balls to spare. Shreyas Iyer’s captaincy and the team’s all-round effort helped them finish the league stage on a high note.
