The ICC T20 World Cup Africa Qualifiers is all set to begin with the teams eyeing the T20 World Cup spot. The tournament will feature eight teams, with the top two earning qualification for the 2025 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, to be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka. The competition will feature two groups: Group A includes Namibia, Malawi, Nigeria, and Kenya, while Group B sees hosts Zimbabwe placed alongside Uganda, Tanzania, and Botswana.

Each team will play the others in their group once, with the top two from each advancing to the semi-finals. The finalists will not only compete for the regional title but will also secure their tickets to the global tournament. Zimbabwe Cricket chairman Tavengwa Mukuhlani expressed the board’s enthusiasm, saying the nation is proud and fully prepared to host some of the continent’s best teams for a tournament of this significance.

ICC T20 World Cup Africa Qualifiers Schedule 2025

In total, 28 matches will be played, including eight official warm-up games. The ICC T20 World Cup Africa Qualifiers venues 2025 are Harare Sports Club and Takashinga Cricket Club, with two matches scheduled at each ground per matchday. The final will be played at Harare Sports Club, which is one of the most beautiful cricket stadiums in the world.

The tournament kicks off on Friday, September 26. The opening morning fixtures feature Namibia taking on Kenya at Harare Sports Club and Nigeria facing Malawi at Takashinga, both starting at 9:30 AM. In the afternoon session, beginning at 1:50 PM, hosts Zimbabwe will launch their campaign against Uganda at Harare Sports Club, while Tanzania and Botswana go head-to-head at Takashinga. The semi-finals are set for Thursday, October 2, at Harare Sports Club, which will also stage the tournament final on Saturday, October 4.

ICC T20 World Cup Africa Qualifiers Squads

The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa Qualifiers 2025 brought together eight teams from across the continent, each competing for a chance to qualify for the global T20 World Cup.
