A New Esports Chapter for India Begins Today As The Nation Prepares for Asian Games 2026

The road to the 2026 Asian Games in Japan has officially started for gamers in India. The Esports Federation of India recently opened registrations for the National Esports Championships 2026, and shared this news on their official Twitter (X) page.

The registrations will determine which talented players will represent our country in Nagoya, Japan, at the 2026 Asian Games. In this article, we will talk about the games India is joining and how players can sign up for the Asian Games 2026 NESC registration.

Asian Games 2026 NESC: India's Participation

The 2026 Asian Games will take place in Aichi-Nagoya from September 19 to October 4. The competition features 13 esports titles, but India will participate in only ten of them.

India has decided to skip three specific games. These skipped games are Honor of Kings, Identity V, and Mobile Legends Bang Bang. Team India will enter all the rest of the exciting games.

2. Street Fighter 6
3. Tekken 8
4. The King of Fighters XV
5. Pokémon Unite
6. Naraka: Bladepoint
7. eFootball
8. Puyo Puyo
9. Gran Turismo
10. Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI)

The three fighting games will be clubbed together as one team event. There is a special rule for mobile battle royale fans. As PUBG Mobile is restricted in India, the selection process will be done using Battlegrounds Mobile India instead.

Asian Games 2026 NESC Registration Process and Date

The Esports Federation of India announced that registrations are officially open. Gamers have a limited time to sign up because registrations close on March 7, 2026.
