Bayern Munich Removed From eFootball: All You Need to Know

Recently, it was announced by Konami that from June 26, Bayern Munich would no longer appear in eFootball. Konami officially announced it on their website that Bayern’s real-world name, club badge, kit, and even the Allianz Arena will be pulled from the game. Players will see a generic rebrand once the new update rolls out. Konami has clarified that all player names, appearances, and badges will remain untouched. The squad stays the same; however, the club’s official identity won’t be in the game anymore.

Bayern Munich Removed from eFootball

Infinity FC posted on their X handle that Bayern Munich has been removed from eFootball. Konami lost the license to use the club for their game, which resulted in the removal. They made an official announcement on their website.

Allianz Arena Also Removed From eFootball

Since eFootball's Bayern Munich license was removed, they lost the right to Bayern’s home stadium, otherwise known as the Allianz Arena. The update might see some other stadium being used, as was done by EA, who used the fictional Sanderson Park instead.

Fans are not very happy with the news. One of the users on Reddit suggested starting a GoFundMe for Konami, and another Reddit user suggested running a marathon to save the company. There has been disappointment amongst the fans, especially the Bayern fans. The club has a lot of fans around the globe and superstars like Harry Kane, Jamal Musiala, and Michael Olise. One of the fans expressed frustration and demanded to know in what direction the game was going, given how many Bayern legends packs came out annually.
