PUBG Mobile eSports World Cup 2025 Survival Stage: All You Need To Know

The PUBG Mobile World Cup (PMWC) is nearing its business end with the second round of qualifiers, known as ‘Survival Stage’ is set to begin from July 29th, 2025. The ongoing PMWC is a part of the esports World Cup (EWC) and features the best Player Unknown Battleground Mobile squads from different countries and regions. The tournament commenced on July 25th and will roll out on August 3rd after crowning a new world champion.

PMWC is hosting a total of 24 teams from eight regions. The entire tournament is being played in three different stages, with all the teams getting two chances to make it to the list of final sixteen teams who will play the grand finals. Eight teams have already booked their slots into the Grand Finals by finishing in the top 8 during the ‘Group Stages’. The remaining 16 teams shall now compete in the ‘Survival Stage’ to give themselves a chance of representing their country in the finals. This stage will also include the BGMI Pro series Champions ARYANxTMG from India.

PMWC 2025 Survival Stage Format

The group stages of the PUBG Mobile World Cup saw eight teams directly qualify for the grand finals of the tournament. The remaining 16 teams headed to the virtual semi-finals aka ‘Survival Stage’. These 16 teams will now indulge in 12 intense matches. These 12 matches shall be played on three maps across two days, and the top eight teams in the overall standings shall seal their spots in the Grand Finals. The PMWC Survival Stage will be played on July 29th and 30th. The eight best teams that accumulate the most points from the terrains of Erangle, the deserts of Miramar and the dense wilderness of Sanhok will find themselves competing for the crown from August 1st.
