The announcement of this year's nominees was made across social media.

As the Premier League took to their official Twitter to give us a graphic of the 8 players chosen as nominees, their announcement was made with a lot of positive interaction from the fans, with some even predicting the winner.

It is not at all a surprise to see Morgan Gibbs-White in this least. Having 14 G/A contributions, how he played for his team throughout this season is commendable. Almost all the pundits in the Premier League are wowed by the performance of the Nottingham Forest midfielder.

Following him, we have Liverpool's Gravenberch. The Dutch midfielder thrived under Arne Slot's system and played exceptionally throughout the system in the number 6 position. He was indeed one of the crucial players behind Liverpool's success this year.

Speaking of success, Alexander Isak from Newcastle is making all the headlines and rightfully so! The Swedish forward has netted 23 goals and bagged 6 assists, and he led Newcastle from the front. His contributions both in the League and the Carabao Cup-winning run are the reasons why he has made this list.

Brentford's Mbeumo is a popular name in this list too, given his contributions for the Bees this season. Even though 10 G/A is considered average in the League, if you have tuned into Brentford's matches this season, you would know why he is in the list of nominees.

Even though Arsenal could not reach the heights they intended, if there is one player who had the highest impact on the team this year, it is Declan Rice. Like Salah, van Dijk's extension will also see him play for Liverpool for two more years.

Last but not least, we have Chris Wood, who led Bournemouth to the top 3 this season with 23 G/A. He led Nuno Espirito's squad to that position in this campaign. He is joining the nominees this year alongside Morgan Gibbs-White.
