The tournament is set to start from July 8 and will end on August 24, 2025. The EA FC 25 competition is set to be hosted from August 7 to August 10. The tournament is a result of a global season that has spanned over months of intense regional qualifiers, the play-ins, and the newly introduced Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ).

What is the FC Pro World Championship?

The FC Pro World Championship is part of the Esports World Cup (EWC) in Riyadh, scheduled from August 7 to August 10 for the first time ever. This is a seasonal closer of a year-long grind and hard work across regional leagues, open cups, and qualifiers, that will crown the best individual talent in the game. A total of 32 players will feature at the main event, of which 28 have already made their way to the tournament. The remaining 4 slots are to be filled by invited players and through the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ).

Once we hit the main stage on August 7, the 32 players will be split into 8 groups of 4 players, and the main event will start.

• August 7 (Thursday): Group stage kicks off. GSL format, players trimmed down to the Round of 16.
• August 8 (Friday): Continued Group stage matches & start of Round of 16.
• August 9 (Saturday): Quarterfinal matches for the top 8.
• August 10 (Sunday): Semi-finals, 3rd-place match, and Grand Finale of the tournament.

EWC 2025 FC Pro World Championship Tournament Format

The road to the main stage is a long, hard-fought one, which is about surviving a structured and unforgiving format. From July 31 to August 2 in Riyadh, 512 players will go through the LCQ, out of which 5 players will move on to the next round of the Play-In stage on August 3.

The remaining 5 players will then join another 43 players from the Opens and Pro Leagues, where the top 4 players will take their place in the World Championship’s 32-player roster. Finally, the main event starts from August 7 to August 10. On the first day, the group stage kicks off, and players are filtered down to 16. This is followed by the round of 16 on August 8, from which 8 players qualify to the next round of quarter-finals on August 9.

On the final day, the top 8 players will be trimmed down to 4 for the semis, from which two will qualify for the final. There will also be a 3rd placed match on the same day.
