For context, FPL is an official fantasy league, especially made for the Premier League. The concept is similar to any other fantasy leagues out there: you make a team and earn points. You can compete with your friends or join a clan to climb up the position ladder. Now, EA FC have introduced the same concept in the game. Gamers, however, won't be able to pick cards on their own.

Instead, EA have provided a series of players likely to be on the squad during matchday 29. They need to participate in the Fantasy FC Flash Rush Event to earn those special-edition cards.

And now comes the fun part, where the footballers might or might not obtain boosts. It all depends on how they play for their team on matchday 29. EA Sports has recently posted a blog explaining the simple roadmap. The point system looks quite similar to what the Fantasy Premier League has. The important bits look something like this:

• If a goalkeeper scores a goal: 10 Points
• If a defender scores a goal: 6 Points
• If a midfielder scores a goal: 5 Points
• If a forward scores a goal: 4 Points
• For assist: 3 Points
• For maintaining a clean sheet (Goalkeeper/Defender): 4 Points
• For maintaining a clean sheet (Midfielder): 1 point
• For saving each penalty: 5 Points
• For missing each penalty: -1 Points
• For booking (Yellow Card): -1 Points
• For Booking (Red Card): -3 Points

• On receiving 0-1 FPL points: An additional Role++ and plus 1 OVR.
• On receiving 2-3 FPL points: All Roles++ for the primary position and plus 2 OVR.
• On receiving 4-5 FPL points: All Roles++ for every position, a 2nd PlayStyle+ along with a PlayStyle. And Plus 3 OVR.
• On receiving 6-7 FPL points: All Roles++ for every position, a 2nd PlayStyle+, and 2 base PlayStyles. And Plus 4 OVR.
• On receiving 8+ FPL points: All Roles++ for every position, a 2nd PlayStyle+, 2 base PlayStyles, and 5-star Skill moves. And Plus 5 OVR.
