Even though Salah is a winger, his 75 physicality certainly does not match how strong he is during ground duels with defenders.

Let's come to Virgil van Dijk now. Given his defensive contributions in the 2024-25 season, the 89 OVR is just perfect, and the community agrees to it. Among his core skills, 86 physicality is justified given how strong van Dijk is during aerial and ground duels. However, his 89 defence stat is certainly on the lower side, given that he is still the best defender in modern football.
