The New EA SPORTS FC 26 Version 1.5.3 Brings Tweaks to Career Mode and Ultimate Team

EA Sports have provided a sneak peek at what's coming next, just a week after the FC 26 1.5.2 update. The previous version fixed some issues in career mode while announcing no major changes. The developers were seemingly saving the overhaul for the EA FC 26 Title Update 1.5.3. From Ultimate Team to Career Mode, here's everything that changed in the new version.

When Was the FC 26 1.5.3 Update Announced?

The official post announcing the FC 26 Title Update Version 1.5.3 was shared on X (formerly Twitter). The announcement was made on April 7, 2026. In the post, they clearly stated the new update has yet to go live for all game versions. “EA SPORTS FC 26 v1.5.3 is dropping soon for all versions of FC 26,” they wrote.

What Changes Will Be Made in the FC 26 Version 1.5.3?

Unlike the previous version update, EA Sports has worked on several in-game aspects, including Gameplay, Ultimate Team, and Career Mode. The official notes for the FC 26 Title Update Version 1.5.3 state the following:

Gameplay:

• To stop time-wasting, goalkeepers will now kick the ball out of play if a player repeatedly passes it back to them. It will address rare scenarios that are not relevant to football.

Ultimate Team:

• EA Sports fixed an issue where some kits and badges were not searchable in the transfer market.
• Another issue where Player Celebration animation previews did not display when selected was also fixed.

Career Mode changes:

• EA Sports added a missing separator in European competition standings. The aim is to make it easier to see which teams qualify for the playoffs.
• Now, a team will automatically be added to your watchlist when you apply for a job in Career Mode.
• Labels next to team crests in challenge descriptions were also added to differentiate men's and women's teams.
• A clearer description of the challenge completion UI was added. It will help explain how saves and career progress work upon completion.
• Low job security managers at season's end are now upgraded to ‘Okay’.

Career Mode fixes:

• Fixed an issue where managers were incorrectly assigned to a different team upon selecting Icons & Heroes in career creation.
• Another issue where ICON players could have requested low wages during contract negotiations in the Manager Career was also fixed.
• A bug that caused the League-winning team to be placed in the incorrect European League was also squashed.
• Instances of incorrect or overlapping text were also addressed in the FC 26 1.5.3 version update.

General, Audio and Visual Changes and Fixes:

• Some crests, banners, flags, logos, kits, sponsors, scarves, ad boards, overlays, star heads, boots, hair and names were updated.
• Several stability issues were also addressed.

While the FC 26 1.5.2 update was announced for PCs, the upcoming one is expected to be released for consoles as well.

Community Reactions to the Latest FC 26 1.5.3 Announcement

Several players claimed that EA Sports did not address multiple issues in the FC 26 1.5.3 version update. “Fix the pro camera on champions,” one wrote.

Another said, “Just get rid of bruises…PLEASE.”

“Fix the problem which occurs when friends invite us to play friendly games. My ping goes to 200, but if I invite my friends, it remains normal,” added one more.
