EA SPORTS FC 26 Version 1.6.2 Brings Major Tweaks to The World's Game Tournament

A few days into the FIFA World Cup 2026, EA Sports is already bringing a fresh new change to their flagship football gaming title. The FC 26 title update 1.6.2 was announced yesterday. It is set to bring some major changes to The World's Game Tournament, Clubs, and Career Mode. Today, we will discuss everything you need to know about the EA FC 26 title update 1.6.2.

When Was the FC 26 1.6.2 Update Announced?

The official title update announcement was made on X (formerly Twitter). EA Sports shared a tweet on June 15 that reads, “EA SPORTS FC 26 v1.6.2 is dropping soon for all versions of FC 26.”

What Are the FC 26 Version 1.6.2 New Changes?

The new FC 26 title update version 1.6.2 brings several tweaks to The World's Game, Clubs, and Career Mode. Here's what the official notes state:

The World's Game

• The developers added a Tournament Tree widget to the Office Hub within the World's Game Tournament. It only becomes visible once a player enters the Knockout Stages.
• EA Sports also added access to FC Hub from the Tournament Hub. Players can now access the tab even during an active tournament in the World's Game mode or view active objectives and track progress.
• A new tournament stage has been added to the Next Fixture screen in the FC Hub, and the UI elements in the See Tree Overview screen have also been updated.
• A bug where matches completed through penalties displayed incorrectly, displaying the aggregate score, was also squashed.
• Another issue in The World's Game Tournament, where the completed stage did not correctly display beneath the Trophy after finishing the competition, was also resolved.

More instances of misaligned text were also fixed in the recent FC 26 version 1.6.2 update.

Clubs

• The issue where creating a new Goalkeeper Clubs Pro resulted in the ‘Failed to create your Virtual Pro’ message has been addressed.
• New cases of Clubs AI Facility boost applying to player-controlled Pros were also resolved.

Career Mode

• The developers also re-enabled the National Team selection for Manager Career Live Start Points that occurred in May 2026.
• Instances where selecting View Fixture for the International Cup Tournament Final from the Calendar in Manager Career mode displayed the Third-Place match incorrectly got resolved. Previously, it would also cause the Final Tab to be missing from the standings.
• The issue where the Department filter would reset incorrectly after modifying a Key Role filter in Scout Instructions was also resolved.
• Certain positions disappearing incorrectly from the Attacker department list when specific Key Role filters were active got fixed.
• Youth Academy scout reports that incorrectly display place-holder min-max values rather than the correct attribute ranges are also being fixed in the FC 26 1.6.2 version update.
• The issue that the Current Team could display a placeholder image on the Player Stats screen for the Men's International Cup has been resolved.
• See More Stats screen issue of potentially displaying incorrect information when viewed during the Men's International Competition in Manager Career has been fixed.

General, Audio, and Visual Changes

Some other kits, star heads, hair, 2D portraits, badges, stadiums, boots, commentary, crowds, TIFOs, and text were also updated in the recent version.
