eFootball Master League set to return in 2026: Know The Release Date and Timings

Konami has finally listened to the calls of millions of eFootball users around the globe. The devs have revealed that eFootball Master League is set to make a return in the first half of 2026. In the latest eFootball Connect spotlight interview, it was revealed that the master league is going to arrive in the form of a standalone event.

Master League is one of the flagship events in eFootball. This event was removed from the game when Pro Evolution Soccer rebranded into eFootball that players know today. The master league was like a career mode where you got to manage a club over many seasons and try to win trophies ( both domestic and continental). Players had to manage everything from transfers to finances to player development and more.

eFootball Master League set to return in 2026

Just a day ahead of the Carnival campaign, the eFootball Connect interview went live on February 4, 2026, with the General Director and General Producer Riku Hagiwara. The stream officially announced the return date of the eFootball master league. One of the official sources, @play_eFootball, posted the development on X.

This eFootball Connect answered many community questions regarding not just Master League but also cross-platform play, Edit mode and Smart Assist. When will Master League Return to eFootball?

As per the eFootball Connect interview stream, Master League is going to return in April 2026. The master league will follow a live-service format. It will be initially released as a separate event. The connect stream revealed that Master League will have many new individual features, like:

• Tapped into Potential
• Over Worked
• Moderate Injury

Additionally, the stream confirmed that there is no 'script' that affects players in the game. Related to smart assist, the general director confirmed that it won't be scrapped but balanced based on community feedback. Smart Assist will continue to work as it is helping beginners to quickly level up in the game.
