Football Manager Partners With FirstLook to Bring FM27 Playtesting Program

Football Manager has finally revealed more information about their upcoming title, FM27. The developers shared news on expanding their approach to the title's playtest on the Sports Interactive forum. The game is partnering with FirstLook to bring a fresh playtesting experience. As per the official announcement, Football Manager fans can now play early builds through the final stages of development by registering their interest. Football Manager 27 Playtest Announcement (August 11, 2026)

Sports Interactive Community Team representative Kyle Brown shared an official post online explaining the FM27 Playtest registration process. Here's what the official statement reads:

According to the same announcement, the developers are now opening the FM27 Playtesting Program to a wider group. As for the early development builds of FM27, they will have new features and improvements. The developers have urged players to do the following in this playtest:

• Play as much as possible and provide feedback
• Respond to surveys
• Report any bugs that are found

How to Join FM27 Playtest Program?

Here's how players can join the Football Manager 27 Playtest Program:

• The first step requires you to visit footballmanager.firstlook.gg.
• You will see a dialogue box prompting you to ‘Join the waitlist today’.
• Click the purple box that reads ‘Sign up for the Playtest’.
• You will have two tasks: Sign up with Steam and enter your email (both compulsory).
• The Steam option will take you to a ‘Sign In’ page.
• It will notify you that some data will be shared with footballmanager.firstlook.gg.
• Click on the Sign In button glowing in green.
• You should be redirected to the FM27 playtest website.
• Once the Steam account is connected, provide your email address in the box below.
• You will receive a confirmation code that you must enter on the same playtest page.
• Once done, click ‘Continue,’ and you will be asked to fill in some personal details, including full name and country.
• Provide your system details, game genres, and the hours you play.
• Explain your Football Manager experience, and you should be signed up.
