Competitors will have to compete through a special Championship Series to get to the main event in Singapore next year. Here is the quick roadmap for the aspiring contestants trying to sign up for the Pokémon Champions India Series 2027.

• Global Challenge: Players will compete in a six-game online tournament, and the competition will also have three age groups. A total of 540 contestants will move up the ladder, as the top 30 players from each division will be considered. Global Challenge is scheduled to be held between September 2026 and April 2027.
• Online Qualifier: Top-performing players from the 540 qualified players will go on to the final Indian Series stage. The selected bunch of players will be invited to the offline Grand Finals along with travel support.
• Grand Finals: The offline Grand Finals will consist of the cream Pokemon Champions players of India. Glory at this stage will guarantee one’s spot in the Pokemon World Championships in Singapore.

Players must register directly (open since 18th Sep 2026) through the Pokémon Champions app to compete at the Global Challenge. Selecting the region as India is a mandatory step if you are playing in a different region.

Pokemon World Championship 2027: Tournament Overview and Format

As discussed above, the Pokemon World Championship will be played in a Best-of-Three format in three phases, with two players who make it through to the Grand Finals play on the main stage on Championship Sunday.
