PUBG Mobile World Cup (PMWC) is the mid-season global tournament of the popular battle royale game. PMWC commenced in the year 2024. It is the joint-highest tier of competition in PUBG Mobile Esports alongside PMGC. The tournament pits the world's best PUBG Mobile teams against each other. The PMWC winners earn the bragging rights to be called World Champions.

The PUBG Mobile World Cup is the rebranded version of the PUBG Mobile World Invitational (PMWI), which was held annually from 2021 to 2023. It boasts one of the largest prize pools in mobile esports. The last two editions of PMWC were held in Riyadh, and the next will be hosted in Paris. The two editions have seen two different teams getting crowned World Champions. What is the PMWC Tournament?

PUBG Mobile World Cup is an official mid-season tournament from Level Infinite and Krafton. This LAN event hosts the top PUBG Mobile teams from every region. Despite being an S-tier event, it's not an invitational, and teams have to qualify for it by either winning their regional events (like PMGO, BMIC, etc) or securing top rankings in their region.

PMWC also gets a lot of eyeballs and is one of the most-watched mobile esports tournaments. 9The next edition of the tournament will be held in Paris between August 6 and 16, 2026, with a gargantuan prize pool of $3 million.

PMWC 2025 Winners (Yangon Galacticos)

Yangon Galacticos surprised the world at PMWC 2025, becoming the first Burmese team to win a global PUBG Mobile event. The trio of Marnett, Romeo and Saycloud was led by the best IGL in the tournament, Smile.

After barely making it past the group stages, where they finished 11th with 75 points, Yangon Galacticos sneaked into the Grand Finals, finishing 8th in the Survival Stage, just 1 point shy of elimination.

The story in the finals was opposite, as Yangon Galacticos dominated from day 1, getting two chicken dinners on the first day. They eventually finished at the top with 157 points and now sit on our PMWC winners list. Weibo Gaming led the PMWC runners-up list with 142 points, followed by Alpha Gaming.

PMWC 2024 Winners (Alpha7 Esports)

Next on the PMWC winners list is Alpha7 Esports, the team that dominated the event when it debuted in 2024 from the get-go. The team of Mafioso, Revo, Carrilho and Magrelin directly qualified for the grand finals by finishing 5th in the Group Stages. In the finals, Alpha7 accumulated 153 points to win it all, with Mafioso and Revo being the two best players in the tournament.

PMWC continues to grow, and many more teams will add to the event's legacy in the coming years. This is the mid-season equivalent of PMGC and is one of the most prestigious trophies that any team desires to keep in its cabinet.
