Velocity Gaming has officially booked its ticket to the international stage after defeating S8UL 3-1 in the Grand Final of the OMEN VCSA 2025 Ascension Qualifiers LAN. Held at Ardee Mall in Gurugram, the event marked a pivotal moment for South Asia’s VALORANT scene, as Velocity now prepares to represent India at the VCT Ascension Pacific 2025 in Bangkok this October.

This split featured a total of eight teams, six qualified from Split 2 and two more from the Promotion/Relegation phase. As the concluding split of the year, Split 3 was a critical event for teams eyeing advancement to the Ascension stage. Velocity Gaming maintained an unbroken streak throughout the upper bracket, entering the grand final well rested and confident. Their opponents, S8UL, had to battle their way through the lower bracket, including a hard-fought 3-1 victory over DOT EXE Esports in the Lower Bracket Final to earn a spot in the decider.

Despite S8UL’s momentum, Velocity’s upper bracket dominance held firm. They closed out the best of five grand final in four maps, solidifying their place as South Asia’s representative for the upcoming international event.

With the win, Velocity Gaming walks away with ₹24.3 lakhs in prize money, while S8UL takes home ₹12.15 lakhs as the tournament’s runner-up. Popular gaming personalities such as Sikhwarrior, Mackletv, Chhabra Saab, and Pooja Bisht participated in the special segment, offering a lighter moment amidst the high-stakes action.

The OMEN VCSA 2025 Ascension Qualifiers drew significant attention, both on-ground and online.
