2K has finally announced March 13, 2026, as the official date when wrestling fans will finally get their hands on the upcoming 2K title. And amidst all hype, CM Punk is all set to be the next WWE 2K26 Cover Star. As a matter of fact, you could even relive his iconic matches in the Showcase mode.

WWE 2K26 Showcase mode: CM Punk can finally win some WWE championships

Based on WWE 2K26's official X post, the cover star has finally been unveiled, and it's CM Punk. Coming to the description, the classic 2K26 Showcase mode will also feature three modes, narrated by CM Punk himself. The first section will solely feature iconic matches from CM Punk's career in the industry, including his Money in the Bank and Monday Night RAW matches against John Cena.

However, fans might miss out on Punk's long-standing rivalry with Jeff Hardy, as Jeff Hardy is currently signed with the TNA Wrestling roster. It is highly unlikely that wrestlers from different franchises will appear under the same title. Additionally, a “what-if” section will feature Punk's much-awaited match against Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Finally, the third section will include a few fantasy matches against some opponents Punk could never face in the post-2014 era. Considering he wasn't a part of the 2K franchise for almost nine years, and joined back later in 2K24, this is a huge moment for the wrestler himself!

Meanwhile, the famous Island mode is back as a prequel on 2K26. In fact, the feature mode will also be available on PC, with an expanded storyline.

While a plethora of leakers had spilled their beans on the upcoming WWE title, 2K Authority finally posted official information about the upcoming iteration. As gamers can navigate to their preferred store and pre-order the title (starting from January 30, 2026), it's only a matter of a couple of months after which they can enter the arena to relive the nail-biting matches.

Apart from the standard edition, gamers can purchase three special editions: Attitude Era, Monday Night War, and King of the Kings Edition. Those who pre-ordered these special editions, can get their hands on the game a little early, on March 6, 2026. Additionally, WWE 2K26 will also be featuring four new match types, namely:
