WWE 2K26 Patch 1.04 Update Adjusts Ringside Pass Progression and Fixes Technical Issues

The WWE 2K26 Patch 1.04 update has officially rolled out across major platforms. While the patch does not introduce new gameplay content, it includes several balance changes and technical fixes aimed at improving the early experience. In addition to addressing the progression issues, this WWE 2K patch includes fixes for numerous performance issues and gameplay bugs, as well as other player-reported issues.

WWE 2K26 Ringside Pass Update Improves RXP Progression

One of the biggest highlights of the latest patch is the WWE 2K26 Ringside Pass Update. This focuses on improving how players earn Ringside Experience Points, also called RXP. The developers introduced these changes after noticing that progression was not working exactly as intended during the early days of release.

Custom Matches now award RXP, giving players more flexibility in how they progress through the Ringside Pass. This means players no longer have to rely only on standard match types to earn rewards.

The developers have also increased RXP earn rates by about 20%. The addition of a minimum match time requirement is another significant update. Consequently, a player will still receive the standard completion RXP but not the extra RXP win bonus if they finish a match in less than sixty seconds. To slow down RXP farming by finishing matches quickly, developers added this minimum time requirement.

WWE 2K26 Update 1.04 Fixes Stability Issues and Adds Locker Code Reward

WWE 2K26 update 1.04 will address several technical issues reported since the game's release. According to the patch notes, update 1.04 brings stability and performance improvements to all aspects of the game.

The patch addresses concerns around earnable RXP and the need for an Xbox Game Pass subscription to play modes such as The Island and MyFaction. In addition, issues with players being unable to link their 2K accounts and certain attacks not working correctly, as well as the mask rewards for Dominik, were also addressed through the update.

As part of the update, early access players also received a locker code reward. The code MZFGCPCR grants 32,500 VC and can be redeemed in-game before March 12 at 9 AM PT. The WWE 2K26 Patch 1.04 update is now live on PS5, Xbox Series X, and Steam, starting March 11, while the Nintendo Switch 2 version of the patch is scheduled to arrive on March 30.
