Gameweek 25 of the Fantasy Premier League served up an interesting set of results. The most interesting result was Tottenham Hotspur’s 1-0 win over Manchester United. For Ange Postecoglou it will calm the pressure down while for Ruben Amorim, it will only increase. Mo Salah of Liverpool lit up the weekend with a 20 point haul in a double gameweek.

Top 5 Best FPL Midfielders to Pick in GW26
Rank | Player | Club | Price | Points | GW 26 Opponents |
1 | Mo Salah | Liverpool | £13.7m | 251 points | Manchester City |
2 | Marcus Rashford | Aston Villa | £6.6m | 63 points | Chelsea |
3 | Koaru Mitoma | Brighton | £6.3m | 105 points | Southampton |
4 | Justin Kluivert | Bournemouth | £6.0m | 128 points | Wolves |
5 | Ethan Nwaneri | Arsenal | £4.6m | 39 points | West Ham |
5. Ethan Nwaneri – Arsenal | 39 points | £4.6m

Arsenal basically do not have any of their first choice attackers who are fit. Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli are all injured for quite some time and they are in dire need of inspiration up front. This has lately come from 17 year old academy graduate Ethan Nwaneri who has been providing the goods. He’s available for very cheap and almost certain to start. He already has 3 goals and an assist in the Premier League this season. Expect him to add more against West Ham this weekend. Another interesting option is that of Mikel Merino who scored twice last game playing up front.
4. Justin Kluivert – Bournemouth | 128 points | £6.0m

Justin Kluivert is a player of great fascination who has experienced a very engaging career. In fact, he is among the only two active players who have scored in all of Europe’s top 5 leagues. Nevertheless, it can be said that it is at Bournemouth where he has truly excelled. This season, he already boasts 17 goal contributions in the Premier League. Two of them have been hattricks, a great return for a previously inconsistent player. He is very high on confidence at the time as are Bournemouth as a whole which can lead them to reap huge rewards in the weekend game against Wolves.
3. Koaru Mitoma – Brighton | 105 points | £6.3m

Brighton are playing some attractive football at the moment. Their attacking force is filled with talented players and led by Koaru Mitoma. The winger has seen his stock fall of late from what it was a couple of seasons ago, due to injuries and inconsistency. However, he could turn into an exciting differential option for Fantasy Premier League managers as he has looked in a great form of late. At his best, Mitoma still remains dangerous, racking up 9 goal contributions this season so far, including a stunning goal against Chelsea recently. Brighton takes on a struggling Southampton side this weekend and the Japanese international for one will be looking to trouble the Saints’ defense in this one.
2. Marcus Rashford – Aston Villa | 63 points | £6.6m

No player in the Premier League arguably has more at stake currently than Marcus Rashford. Frequently omitted from the lineup by new manager Ruben Amorim, Rashford was required to exit Manchester United, the place he called home since he was a child. Moves to major clubs such as Barcelona and Milan did not come to fruition, and he was compelled to join Aston Villa. However, Villa is a strong team and under Unai Emery, the England international has the chance to silence many critics. With teammates like Morgan Rogers, Ollie Watkins, and Marco Asensio, the Englishman will have excellent support around him. He could well get his first goal in their colors this weekend as Villa face Chelsea who are struggling with a poor defense system.
1. Mo Salah – Liverpool | 271 points | £13.7m

Mo Salah has accumulated more points in Fantasy Premier League than any other player this season. He was also the initial player to surpass the 200 points threshold this season. Salah’s consistency is impressive, having produced significant returns in almost every match he has played this season. He has already netted 24 goals and provided 14 assists in the Premier League this season, exceeding any other contender at this stage in the league’s history. He does face a difficult game against Manchester City this weekend but the defending champions have been dreadful defensively.
As we turn our attention to Gameweek 26, the Premier League has a thrilling set of fixtures lined up. The highlight of the weekend is the game between Liverpool and Manchester City. Any other season, this would be a title decider but City are miles off this season. They could however massively help Arsenal and hurt Liverpool in the title race.
The deadline for GW26 is on 22nd February.
