Will Antony play against Real Madrid in La Liga?

The La Liga side Real Betis receives a huge boost ahead of their upcoming league clash against the defending champions Real Madrid at home on Saturday. One of their in-form players, Antony will be available for selection after his red card suspension was overturned by the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), following the appeal from Real Betis to review the suspension.

The Brazilian winger has been impressive for Betis ever since his arrival on a short-term loan deal from Premier League giants Man United in January and is on the track to rejuvenate his lost charm in the Green-and-Whites shirt. He has made five goal contributions in six appearances so far.

In his recent outing, the 25-year-old forward was sent off due to a reckless tackle on a Getafe player in the 94th minute of the game during Real Betis’s 2-1 win over Getafe in La Liga last weekend.

The former Ajax winger provided an assist to Isco in scoring the opener in that fixture before receiving the marching order from the match referee.

The Seville-based club had filed an official appeal against the decision to RFEF’s disciplinary committee. As a result, they have announced their decision in favour of Antony and Real Betis — as the Brazilian International won’t be facing suspension and is set to return against Los Blancos.
