Facing elimination as things stand, Man Utd Women's boss, Marc Skinner, urged nothing but perfection from his side. He knows this is an opportunity to create history. "We know what we have to do. We have to come in and silence a fantastic arena with brilliant fans, and we have to go and create history," he pleaded on his side.

However, United had a demoralising weekend as they were thumped in the Manchester Derby by arch-rivals Manchester City W. Powered by a Vivianne Miedema brace, they handed United a 3-0 defeat at home. They have only one victory in their last five games and have to lift the spirits in Munich to complete a comeback. Only Arsenal managed to progress to the next round after losing the first leg of the 10 ten English sides in the UWCL so far. So Skinner's comments with the opposition's form, demand elite play from the Red Devils if they are to reach a first-ever UWCL semifinals.
