Summary

Comoros W play the first leg of the second round of their 2028 Women's Olympics Qualifiers against Nigeria W at Remo Stars Stadium.

Comoros W face off against Nigeria W in the second round of the 2028 Women's Olympics Qualifiers in Nigeria. Although the first leg is technically a home game for Comoros, they agreed to play the match in Nigeria as they still don't have a CAF approved stadium of their own.

The Comoros women's national football team are coming off a thumping 30-0 win over Sudan W in the previous round. The first leg ended 17-0, before scoring 13 in the next to take an extraordinary step into the second round, where the quality of opponents has improved massively.

These two wins are their only victories out of the last five games, which has surely given them some confidence before taking on the 10-time Women's AFCON champions. The Nigeria women's national football team, on the other hand, have had their fair share of disappointments in recent times.

After bowing out of the quarterfinals of the 2026 Women's AFCON against Cameroon, they failed to beat South Africa W in the playoff final for the Women's World Cup. However, they are on a better run of form than their opponents, with six wins out of their last 10 outings across all competitions.
