Real Oruro hosted Blooming in the second leg of the Copa Pacena quarter finals. Blooming won the first leg 2-1 at home and just needed a draw away from home to seal their progression. Real Oruro equalised the tie on aggregate early on, but a second-half brace from Posse put Blooming in the driver's seat again.

After a late penalty, Oruro tied the game on the night at 2-2 but needed a late winner to force extra time on aggregate. Blooming held on and secured their spot in the semis. The celebrations of Blooming sparked a massive fight that will now be known as the Copa Pacene Red Card gate.

The 17 Red Cards Brawl

Seconds after the final whistle, Blooming's players were wildly celebrating. A Real Oruro player confronted the rival's celebrations as he thought they were provocative in nature. It resulted in an argument as players from both sides joined the huddle. Blooming's coach, Mauricio Soria, broke the tension by taking the players away. However, there was no change as the players stepped away momentarily before a fight broke out. Players were going for each other's throats. They started kicking and punching, it came down to shoves and chases as players, assistants and even coaching staff got involved.

The police entered the scene to dissolve the fight, but the matter escalated even more as there were flying kicks as well. The police had to use pepper spray to disperse the crowd and bring order. The cameras captured confrontations between the players and Real Oruro's manager, Marcelo Robledo, who was shoved to the ground.

After the situation was watered down, the referee issued 17 red cards to the players and staff. 10 from Marcelo and 7 from Oruro were sanctioned. What was supposed to be a joyous semifinal for Blooming will now be remembered as a scandalous, UFC-coded quarter-final triumph as they miss several starters in the semis.
