Erik Ten Hag is likely to stay in Manchester United despite recent results

Another season, another roller coaster-esque experience for Manchester United fans around the world. If there was one name to be blamed for The Red Devils’ recent unstable forms it should be the manager Erik Ten Hag. The fans started to point fingers at the Dutchman, wanting him to be out from Old Trafford.

However, that is not what United’s boards consider in a time like this. Sam C from ITV reported that despite the team are having rough times across the competition, sacking Ten Hag isn’t on the to-do list.

On the other hand, United’s operational boss Sir Jim Ratcliffe held a meeting with the club’s high-ranked figures such as Joel Glazer, CEO Omar Berrida, Sporting director Dan Ashworth,  technical director Jason Wilcox, and director Sir Dave Brailsford.

Sacking Erik Ten Hag is not an option

The topic of the discussions were vary and Ten Hag’s future was reported to be one of them. After the discussion, Mirror wrote that the board ‘eventually opted to stick by Ten Hag.’

United have not won any games in five encounters or since they beat Barnsley 7-0 at Old Trafford in the League Cup. Since then, they played a draw against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, and got another draw when hosting FC Twente at home, before suffering a humiliating 3-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

Erik Ten Hag’s players earned another two draws both in the Europa League and the Premier League against FC Porto and Aston Villa respectively. Fans are furious about the recent results and failing to win the home game against Brentford is unlikely to be forgiven.
