According to SPORT BILD, the devices were provided so that the new manager, Sandro Wagner, could more effectively implement his training methods. The FC Augsburg head coach, Wagner, believes that investing in modern technology will not only improve working conditions but also enhance players' performance and training quality. Hence, the equipment is intended to push the club forward athletically.

At Wagner's request, the FC Augsburg hierarchy purchased iPads for all its players, and training sessions are now filmed using drones and a high-tech camera system. The iPads enable training and match scenes to be recorded and accessed at any time, allowing players and coaches to more precisely analyse their performances. Hence, in the age of innovation and digitalisation, FC Augsburg has successfully integrated sports with technology to improve the overall performance and inculcate a deeper understanding of the game among the team members.

To enhance the spirit and the performance of the team, FC Augsburg head coach Wagner introduced further technical upgrades, in addition to the iPads. He has made the club install a large video wall at the training ground, which cost €100,000. This video wall is meant for instant review and analysis of match footage, helping the Bundesliga team quickly identify their mistakes.

A drone has also been used to film each training session, providing new perspectives on the players' performance. Additionally, a state-of-the-art camera system has been installed to capture every movement on the pitch. Even the coach’s office received upgrades, such as installing a premium coffee machine worth €4,500, which was approved by the Augsburg managing director, Michael Stroll. Although this machine is an expensive purchase, it is seen as an important investment in the well-being of the coaching staff.
