FIFA Plans To Bring Back Confederations Cup in Revamped 8-Team Tournament

After the revival of the FIFA Club World Cup in 2025, FIFA is keen to bring back the FIFA Confederations Cup in a revamped 8-team tournament. This competition is expected to take place every four years and will feature the best teams from different confederations. It resembles a mini World Cup of confederation winners. The FIFA Confederations Cup is expected to bring together top teams from all continents and promote football in every corner of the world. The tournament is expected to take place at a neutral venue or multiple host countries, and a March window alignment in even years could give a consistent calendar scheduling arrangement.
