How Many Times Coach Can Use VAR in La Liga?

La Liga has come up with new rules and regulations for VAR intervention. According to the new La Liga VAR rules, the system, which was earlier triggered by the on-field referees and video assistant referees, can only be initiated by the coaches and players of a team. The new rules suggest that a total of 2 VAR referrals will be given to a team in a match, which may be extended to 3 if the game goes to extra time.

A La Liga team will lose its referral if the decision of the on-field referee remains unchanged, whereas a team will retain their referral if its appeal is found to be accurate. Intervention can only occur in a clear and obvious error, divided into four categories: Goal, Penalty, Direct red card, or a mistaken identity.
