There’s No Catching Them…”: Jamie Carragher Declares Liverpool As Premier League Champions After Reds Thrash Man City at Etihad

The Merseyside outfit extends their lead to a significant 11 points over second-placed Arsenal stepping one step closer to clinching the coveted English title under the guidance of their Dutch boss. Mohamed Salah and Dominik Szoboszlai found the net to register away and home success over City this season.
The Sky Sports pundit and Ex-Liverpool icon, Jamie Carragher has claimed the Premier League title race is ‘done’, Liverpool are winning it considering their impeccable form. Meanwhile, the endless injury crises at Arsenal and Man City’s downfall suggest it would be a big task for these two sides to compete for the title against Arne Slot’s unstoppable side.
“I think Liverpool are going to go on and win the title.” Carragher told Sky Sports, “It’s not so much the lead they have over Arsenal right now. Arsenal are in a situation where they’ve got no strikers. They’re gonna drop more points,”
“I think when you go through a season, there are statement wins when you win a league title. Beating Manchester City home and away is as big a statement as you could have. It’s almost a matter of when and not if. If it was Man City or Arsenal, you’d be saying it’s done… I do think it’s done.”
He added further in his statement, “What you’ve got to remember is this Liverpool team have only really lost one game of any significance, which was Nottingham Forest. They lost in the Champions League in a dead rubber, they lost in the FA Cup when they changed the whole team and they lost in the first leg against Tottenham which was half-time, the tie wasn’t over.
