Key Members of Morecambe FC Ownership Lands in Serious Trouble, The Reason Being....

On December 4, the UK government imposed sanctions on Gurpreet Singh Rehal, an important figure associated with the Morecambe FC ownership group, Panjab Warriors. Rehal has publicly represented the club in marketing and communications roles following its summer 2025 takeover, is accused of ties to Indian terrorist organizations named Babbar Khalsa and Babbar Akali Lehar.

These groups are designated as terrorist entities under UK law, with allegations against Rehal involving recruitment, financial support and procurement of weapons.

These actions have been taken so far against the alleged member of Morecambe Ownership for his alleged links with terror groups.

Actions Taken: Rehal's UK assets have been frozen, and he has been disqualified from serving as a director in any UK company. This is the first enforcement of the UK's Domestic Counter-Terrorism Regime since 2019.

Club Connection: Although not formally listed as a director on Companies House for Morecambe FC or Panjab Warriors, Rehal has been actively involved in the club's operations and promotions. Other Panjab Warriors affiliates, such as Kuljeet Singh Momi, Ropinder Singh and Harjit Singh, remain on the club's board.

Official Response: HM Treasury declined to comment on any direct impact on Morecambe FC. The English Football Association (FA) and National League have not issued public statements as of latest developments.
