Its been a rough few hours for FC Barcelona, and especially their first-choice striker Robert Lewandowski. After losing a La Liga game after seven consecutive wins with conviction for a bizarre off-side call, Barca & their No. 9 suffer yet another blow. Lewandowski is now reportedly suffering from a lower back injury, and this blow is expected to keep him out of action for approximately ten days.
After last night’s loss to Real Sociedad, it has now been reported by journalist Fabrizio Romano that the 36-year-old Polish striker “has a lower back injury”, and the “approximate time out is 10 days”. This blow will mean that FC Barcelona and Poland’s national football team will not be able to avail the services of their prime centre-forward.

How will Robert Lewandowski’s injury impact FC Barcelona?
If the No. 9 is out of action for only ten days from now, as per reports, his absence won’t affect FC Barcelona’s plans at all. The club has no matches till November 24, when they will lock horns with RC Celta de Vigo in La Liga 2024-25.
In fact, his minor blow can be a big advantage for FC Barcelona, as he can work on his fitness and resume playing for the club without any loss of minutes, or risk of any further serious injury during the FIFA international break, where he was set to represent his nation Poland.
However, if Robert Lewandowski is out for long, which cannot be ruled out as the official confirmation is yet to come, and veterans often take time to recover, things can get serious at the Hansi Flick guided camp.
It might have a serious impact as Lewandowski is their star striker, having played all matches of the Spanish top tier this season, scoring 14 goals, with two assists already, etching his name as the league’s top scorer. The tally would have increased further if yesterday’s goal against Real Sociedad was not called off shockingly. He is also a heartthrob in the UEFA Champions League matches, having struck five goals in four games.

How will Robert Lewandowski’s injury impact the Poland National Football Team?
Lewandowski has been Poland’s key striker for over a decade now. He has made the nation of Poland proud with 84 goals in 156 senior side games. Poland will be facing the mighty Portugal and Scotland this international break, with the UEFA Nations League Group 1 business getting serious.
Missing him will be a big loss, especially in the attacking zones. It would be tough for Poland to even draw games without him scoring the stunners. The side has been majorly dependent on his goals, and this might affect their plans and hopes.
