La Liga club Villarreal CF has found a fresh new face to lead the development and implementation of the academy's football coaching program. The Spanish side has recruited an Indian coach, Siddharth Ganesan, as their Villarreal U18 team technical director. Coach Ganesan was already in charge of the club's academy in Malaysia, and this new position confirms his good work in terms of youth development.

As the head coach at Villarreal Malaysia Academy, he also led the U16 team during the Johor Cup, enhancing their exposure to top talents from Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Singapore. Since taking the post in June 2024, his key responsibilities required him to oversee all aspects of coaching and player development, while adhering to Villarreal CF training methodologies and philosophies.

Ganesan completed his AFC A License recently, which is the second-highest qualification in the AFC coaching hierarchy. The Diploma license is designed to train coaches for professional clubs and national team environments, while focusing on advanced tactics, team management, and player development. His new role as the Villarreal U18 team technical director is expected to earn him a salary of anywhere in the range of €45,000 to €55,000.
