BREAKING: Al Nassr vs Al Wasl Officially Postponed! Here’s Why

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has officially confirmed the postponement of the highly anticipated match between Saudi Arabia's Al Nassr and UAE's Al Wasl. Originally scheduled to take place on October 26 at Alawwal Park (King Saud University Stadium) in Riyadh, the AFC Champions League Elite Matchday 3 fixture has been called off hours before kick-off.

Why is Al Nassr vs Al Wasl Postponed?

The primary reason for the sudden postponement centers around logistical disruption and travel complications affecting the visiting team, Al Wasl.

• Travel & Flight Disruptions: The Al Wasl delegation faced insurmountable travel delays, preventing the Dubai-based club from arriving in Riyadh on schedule.
• Safety & Emergency Protocol: Following recent regional air travel interruptions and security considerations in the Middle East, the AFC determined that proceeding with the game on Monday evening was not feasible while maintaining standard player welfare and travel protocols.

When Will Al Nassr vs Al Wasl Be Played?

The AFC announced that the fixture will be rescheduled for a future date.

• Official Status: The revised kickoff time and match date remain To Be Determined (TBD).
• Next Steps: The AFC is coordinating with both Al Nassr and Al Wasl, alongside domestic league organizers (the Saudi Pro League and UAE Pro League), to find an open window in an already congested calendar.

Important Note for Ticket Holders: Al Nassr and ticketing authorities will provide updates regarding ticket validity and refund options for fans who purchased passes for the Alawwal Park clash in Riyadh.

What Does This Mean for Al Nassr & Cristiano Ronaldo?

• Domestic Focus Shift: With their continental fixture put on hold, Cristiano Ronaldo and Al Nassr will turn their full attention back to domestic action in the Saudi Pro League.
• Upcoming Fixture: Al Nassr's next scheduled match is a Saudi Pro League clash against Al Kholood on Thursday, October 29.
