Chelsea Vs Tottenham Hotspur Preview

Tournament: Premier League

Date: Friday, April 3

Kick-off time: 19:00 GMT

Venue: Stamford Bridge

Chelsea take on Tottenham Hotspur in an exciting North London Derby clash at Stamford Bridge in round 30 of the Premier League action. Both sides will be aiming to perform consistently now, with only a few matches left to play.

Chelsea, after a breathtaking start to the season, have endured mixed fortune as they have gone from contenders to now playing for a top four spot to secure their place in the next season's Champions League. The Blues are currently languishing in the fourth position, one point above Nottingham Forest, with the places for the top four heating up.

Enzo Maresca will be hoping for a positive response from his team here after suffering a defeat against Arsenal in the last match. With all the key players available again, we can expect them to put a string of consistent performances, with the focus will be on the form of Cole Palmer, who is leading both the goalscoring charts and assists chart with 14 goals and 6 assists respectively.

Tottenham Hotspur, on the other hand, are going through a tough moment with the team gathering their worst top flight points and position as they languish in 15th in the table.

The Lilywhites are two places above the relegation line for now after registering one draw in their last three matches while losing the other two. Ange Postecoglou will be feeling the pressure now, but might feel unfortunate with the number of injuries his side had throughout the season, which hampered their performance.

However, they did pick up two wins in their last five matches against Manchester United and Ipswich Town. Brennan Johnson and James Maddison are currently leading the goalscoring chart with nine goals, while Son Heung-Min is providing the most assists with nine.

However, they will still miss Omari Kellyman, Gabriel Slonina due to injuries.

Similarly to Chelsea, Ange Postecoglou will also be delighted to have most of his key players back from injury as pressure mounts on his shoulders after a sluggish start to the season.

Although Dejan Kulusevski, Kevin Danso, and Richarlison are back with the team, it remains to be seen whether they are thrust directly into the starting eleven. One confirmed absentee for them, however, will be Radu Dragusin, who is set to miss the season after suffering a cruciate ligament injury.
