The Hammers have not enjoyed an idle start to the 2025-26 season. They come into this game on the back of a 3-0 hammering against newly promoted side Sunderland in their opening encounter. The Blues have an upper hand heading to the London Stadium because of their recent dominance over the Hammers. Injuries have come in thick and fast, but Enzo Maresca must find a way to get Chelsea back to winning ways.

Both sides are under a lot of pressure to pull off a positive result from this game. West Ham United manager Graham Poter has attracted a lot of criticism from the fans for the shambolic defeat against Sunderland. Chelsea on the other hand are desperate to get a win to get their season up and running.
