The Emirates Stadium in London played host to a highly anticipated Champions League fixture between Arsenal and Bayern Munich on Wednesday night. Both teams have been in tremendous form lately. While Arsenal have been appreciated for their defensive quality, Bayern Munich appear to be on a goal-scoring spree. The Bundesliga champions have scored the most goals in the ongoing edition of the Champions League so far.

Bayern started with the same intensity against Arsenal as well, but the Premier League unit looked solid in defence. The Gunners finally broke the deadlock in the 22nd minute when Jurrien Timber scored from a corner to help his team take a lead in the home UCL fixture. Eberechi Eze, who scored a hat-trick against Tottenham in the last Premier League outing, had a great opportunity to make his mark on the scoresheet but fumbled the finishing.

Bayern Munich kept pushing for the equaliser and ultimately had the breakthrough in the 32nd minute. Lennart Karl brought FC Bayern Munich back to the contest, with Gnabry providing the assist. Konrad Laimer also saw a yellow card for a rough foul on Bukayo Saka. The Arsenal vs Bayern score remained 1-1 after the first 45 minutes.

Arsenal started the second half on a dominant note. The home side looked dangerous in set-piece situations. Manuel Neuer made an incredible save at the hour mark to deny a promising chance. Arsenal made consecutive substitutions after 60 minutes to boost their attacking strength. The London giants took the lead through Noni Madueke in the 69th minute, while Gabriel Martinelli scored the third a few moments later.
