Atlético Madrid 5-1 Eintracht Frankfurt Player Ratings: Julián Alvarez Rated 9.5/10 as Atletico Thump Franfurt in UCL

Atlético Madrid Vs Eintracht Frankfurt Player Ratings

Atlético Madrid produced a commanding performance at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano, overpowering Eintracht Frankfurt 5–1 in a one-sided UEFA Champions League encounter. From the outset, the Spanish side asserted their dominance, with Giacomo Raspadori opening the scoring early and setting the tone for what would become a thoroughly controlled and clinical display.

Although Frankfurt briefly narrowed the deficit through a well-executed goal by Jonathan Burkardt, it proved to be little more than a consolation. Atlético’s attacking unit, led by an exceptional Julián Álvarez, was simply too dynamic and incisive for the visitors to contain. The result reflects a statement of intent from Diego Simeone’s Atletico side, whose performance left little doubt about their ambitions in this year’s competition. Atlético Madrid Player Ratings vs Eintracht Frankfurt

Here are Atletico Madrid Player ratings from Atletico vs Frankfurt match:

Goalkeeper

Jan Oblak - 6.5: Had a surprisingly quiet evening for a game with six goals. He couldn't do much about Burkardt's well-placed strike. Made the one save required of him. A straightforward day at the office, really.

Defenders

Matteo Ruggeri - 7.0: A solid and energetic performance down the flank. He was involved in both defensive and offensive phases. Got stuck into his tackles and tried to provide width. A bit clumsy with his fouls at times, but overall a positive outing.

Marcos Llorente - 7.5: What stood out to us was his sheer work rate. He was everywhere, covering ground, making tackles and clearances. His passing was crisp and he was a constant outlet on the right. A typically industrious performance from him.

Clément Lenglet - 7.0: A steady showing at the back. His passing from defense was excellent, helping to launch attacks. Picked up a yellow card, which was a slight blemish. Otherwise, he was composed and made crucial clearances when needed.

Robin Le Normand - 8.0: A commanding presence. He absolutely dominated his aerial duels, winning 5 of 6. To top it off, he got himself on the scoresheet with a poacher's finish from a corner. An almost perfect night for the centre-back.

Midfielders

Conor Gallagher - 6.5: A mixed bag from our perspective. He worked hard and his passing was mostly tidy. However, he lost possession a few times and an error led to a shot. You can never fault his effort, but he wasn't at his influential best.

Pablo Barrios - 6.5: Did his job effectively before being substituted. He kept the ball moving and was tidy in possession. Provided a solid base in midfield without doing anything spectacular. A decent shift.

Giuliano Simeone - 8.0: A fantastic performance full of energy and threat. He was a constant menace, taking on defenders and getting into great positions. Capped his display with a well-taken header. A really exciting talent to watch.

Giacomo Raspadori - 7.5: Got the party started with a clinical finish inside four minutes. He was a livewire throughout his time on the pitch. His movement and intelligence created problems for Frankfurt's backline. An impressive display.

Forwards

Antoine Griezmann - 7.5: He was involved in so much of Atlético's good play. Scored a goal and was constantly creating. However, he'll be kicking himself for missing three big chances. On another night, he could have had a hat-trick.

Julián Alvarez - 9.5: Simply sensational. The highest-rated player on the pitch by a country mile. He was unplayable. A goal, two assists, five key passes... the stats speak for themselves. He ran the show from start to finish. A complete forward's performance.

Substitutes

Nico González - N/A: Came on late with the game already won.

Nahuel Molina - N/A: Not enough time to make an impact.

Álex Baena - N/A: A late cameo.

Carlos Martín - N/A: Replaced Griezmann for the final moments.

Manager

D. Simeone - 8.5: His game plan was executed to perfection. The team pressed high, attacked with purpose, and was ruthless in front of goal. His substitutions were sensible, resting key players once the result was secure. A tactical masterclass.

Eintracht Frankfurt Player Ratings vs Atlético Madrid

Here are Eintracht Frankfurt Player Ratings from Frankfurt vs Atletico UCL game:

Goalkeeper

Kauã Santos - 7.0: This might seem like a high rating for a keeper who conceded five goals. But honestly, it could have been eight or nine without him. He made seven saves, some of which were top-drawer. He was let down badly by his defense.

Defenders

Arthur Theate - 5.0: A torrid night for the defender. While he made plenty of clearances, it was because his team was under constant siege. He was part of a backline that was completely overwhelmed. A difficult evening to endure.

Robin Koch - 4.5: As the captain, you expect a leader's performance, but this was far from it. He looked a step off the pace and won only one of his four duels. A really disappointing and passive display. He'll want to forget this game quickly.

Nathaniel Brown - 5.0: He had a tough time dealing with Atlético's wide players. Won a good number of his duels but also gave away possession and picked up a yellow card. Substituted after 71 difficult minutes.

Nnamdi Collins - 5.0: Like the rest of the defense, he struggled immensely with the pace and movement of the opposition. He was pulled out of position frequently and was substituted before the hour mark. A steep learning curve for the young defender.

Midfielders

Ansgar Knauff - 6.5: One of the few Frankfurt players who tried to make things happen. He provided the assist for their only goal and created a couple of other chances. His final ball wasn't always there, but at least he showed some fight.

Farès Chaïbi - 6.0: Looked decent on the ball and had a couple of successful dribbles. However, he lost possession 12 times and his final product was lacking. A frustrating night where he couldn't quite make the impact he wanted.

Ellyes Skhiri - 5.5: The midfield battle was completely lost, and he has to take some responsibility. He was overrun and couldn't get a foothold in the game. It was no surprise to see him substituted early in the second half.

Ritsu Doan - 6.0: He worked hard and drew a few fouls, showing his willingness to get involved. But he was largely on the periphery of the game from an attacking standpoint. Couldn't impose himself on the match.

Can Uzun - 5.5: A quiet and ineffective performance. His passing was tidy but he offered little penetration. Like Skhiri, he was hooked before the hour mark as the manager looked for a change.

Forwards

Jonathan Burkardt - 7.0: He was isolated for most of the game, feeding off scraps. But when his chance came, he took it brilliantly with a great finish. A lone bright spark in a dismal team performance. He gets credit for his goal and effort.

Substitutes

Hugo Larsson - 6.0: Came on when the game was already in a difficult state.

Aurèle Amenda - 4.5: Came on and gave away a penalty for handball. A nightmare cameo.

Oscar Højlund - 6.0: Tried to add some energy but the game was gone.

Jean-Mattéo Bahoya - N/A: Not enough time to rate.

Mario Götze - N/A: A late appearance.

Manager

D. Toppmöller - 5.0: From our perspective, his team was set up in a way that just couldn't handle Atlético's intensity. The defense was porous, the midfield was absent, and they were second-best all over the park. His substitutions were an attempt to stop the bleeding, but the damage was already done.
