Bayern Munich 3-1 Chelsea Player Ratings: Harry Kane Rated 9/10 as Bayern Thrash Chelsea in One-sided Champions League Clash

The contest took an early turn in Bayern’s favour when Trevoh Chalobah inadvertently diverted the ball into his own net in the 20th minute, handing the hosts a fortuitous but deserved lead. The early setback appeared to destabilise Chelsea, who struggled to establish any rhythm or cohesion in midfield.
Matters deteriorated further for the visitors when Moisés Caicedo conceded a penalty with a clumsy challenge inside the box. Harry Kane, characteristically composed, converted from the spot to extend Bayern’s advantage.
Chelsea momentarily threatened a resurgence through an excellent individual effort from Cole Palmer on the counter-attack, reducing the deficit with a well-taken goal. However, any hopes of a comeback were swiftly extinguished after the interval, as Kane netted his second of the evening to seal a dominant and well-earned victory for the hosts. Here are Bayern Munich vs Chelsea Player Ratings:
Chelsea Player Ratings vs Bayern Munich
Goalkeeper
Robert Sánchez - 6.0: What can you even say? He let in three goals, but you can't blame him for the own goal or the penalty. He made a couple of important saves that prevented the scoreline from getting even more embarrassing. His distribution was fine, nothing special.
Defenders
Malo Gusto - 5.5: He gets a point for the assist on Palmer's goal, which was a great run. But his critical error led to a Bayern goal, which you just can't do at this level. Defensively, he looked shaky and gave the ball away too easily. A very mixed bag.
Trevoh Chalobah - 4.5: You have to feel for the guy. Scoring an own goal so early on is a player's worst nightmare. His confidence was visibly shattered after that moment. He looked uncertain and on edge for the rest of the match. A really tough night for him.
Tosin Adarabioyo - 6.0: He was probably the calmest head in a chaotic backline. We noticed he made a few key clearances and was tidy in possession. Despite his individual effort, he was part of a defense that was leaky all night.
Marc Cucurella - 5.5: A very busy evening for the Spaniard. He threw his body on the line with three blocked shots, which we have to credit. However, he struggled to contain Bayern's wide players and offered very little going forward. Just seemed overwhelmed.

Midfielders
Moisés Caicedo - 4.5: A performance to forget, and frankly, a huge disappointment. The penalty he gave away was just unbelievably clumsy and it cost his team dearly. His stats show an error leading to a shot and it felt like he was a step behind the play all game. Not good enough.
Enzo Fernández - 5.0: Where was he? He was a ghost for most of the match. He had a big chance early on that he should have done better with. He couldn't get on the ball to dictate play like he normally does. It was no surprise to see him substituted.
Reece James - 6.0: Playing in a midfield role, he had his moments. He read the game well to make three interceptions. Still, he couldn't impose himself on the game and was taken off after 68 minutes. A decent, but not game-changing, performance.
Cole Palmer - 7.5: Chelsea's standout player by a country mile. He was the only one who looked like he could make something happen. He took his goal with real class and was a creative spark throughout. He deserved better from his teammates.
Pedro Neto - 5.0: Incredibly quiet. He was barely involved in the game. When he did get the ball, his final product was poor. For a player of his quality, we expected so much more. He was ineffective.
Forwards
João Pedro - 6.5: We have to give him credit for his work rate. He fought for everything, winning 10 duels and drawing four fouls. The problem was, he was completely isolated up front. He got no service and had to feed on scraps.

E. Maresca - 5.0: His team looked lost from the first whistle. The tactical setup was all wrong, and they were picked apart with ease. His side showed very little fight after going behind, and the substitutions made no difference. A poor showing.

Bayern Munich Player Ratings vs Chelsea
Goalkeeper
Manuel Neuer - 7.0: A classic Neuer performance. He wasn't peppered with shots but was alert when called upon. Commanded his area well and his distribution was top-notch, as usual. A reassuring presence.
Defenders
Konrad Laimer - 6.5: Full of energy, but a bit reckless at times. He got booked for a silly foul and was dribbled past on four occasions. He did contribute to the attack but his defensive work was a bit suspect tonight.
Dayot Upamecano - 7.0: A rock at the back. He was strong in the tackle and composed on the ball. He made three interceptions and was a key part of why Chelsea's attack was so ineffective. Solid performance.
Jonathan Tah - 6.0: He did his job effectively in the first half. He picked up a yellow card which might be why he was subbed at the break. No major errors, a steady if unspectacular 45 minutes.
Josip Stanisic - 6.5: It was a shame to see him go off injured. He was having a really solid game, looking comfortable both in defense and when joining the attack. Hopefully the injury isn't serious.

Midfielders
Joshua Kimmich - 7.5: He ran the show from midfield. His passing was near-perfect, and he completely controlled the tempo of the match. What stood out to us was how he made everything look so effortless. A masterclass in midfield play.
Aleksandar Pavlovic - 6.5: A promising display from the youngster alongside Kimmich. He kept things simple and moved the ball well. Lost possession a few too many times, but it was a valuable experience against top opposition.
Serge Gnabry - 7.0: He was a livewire all night and grabbed an assist. His constant movement off the ball created space for others. He'll be disappointed not to have scored himself, but it was a very positive contribution.
Michael Olise - 7.0: Looked determined to score against his former league rivals. He had five shots and was a constant menace. He was a bit wasteful and picked up a booking, but his directness was a major problem for Chelsea.
Luis Díaz - 7.0: A typically industrious performance. He worked his socks off, creating three chances for his teammates. His pace and direct running put the Chelsea defense on the back foot. A solid outing.
Forwards
Harry Kane - 9.0: The Man of the Match, and it's not even close. He was simply outstanding. He dispatched his penalty with no fuss and his second goal was a pure striker's finish. His all-round play, dropping deep and linking up, was exceptional. A truly world-class performance and the highest-rated player on the pitch.
