Bayern Munich beat St Pauli 3-2 in the 27th matchday of the Bundesliga, thanks to a brace from Leroy Sane and a goal from Harry Kane for the hosts, while Elias Saad and Lars Ritzka for the visitors. This result has put Bayern six points clear of the second-place Bayer Leverkusen. St. Pauli, on the other hand, stays in their 15th place, still safe from falling into the relegation playoff spot.
FC Bayern Munich 3-2 St Pauli Player Ratings: Leroy Sane’s Double Inspires Hard-Fought Win Over St Pauli

Bayern lost Alphonso Davies and Dayot Upamecano to injuries during the international break. With Manuel Neuer and Kingsley Coman missing out, too, Bayern put out a relatively weaker side. The visitors, on the other hand, made a single change, with Adam Dzwigala brought into the back three.
Bayern Munich almost scored within the first minute from a set-piece routine, as Goretzka came close to heading it in. They continued to dominate the possession too, but St. Pauli slowly grew into the game, testing the defenders. But Bayern did not take too long to get on to the score sheet, as Musiala capitalized on the error of Van der Hayden and passed it to Olise, who put in a low cross and Harry Kane finished it off with a precise finish. St. Pauli hit back quickly, with Elias Saad casually tapping it in, thanks to an excellent cross from Emmanouil Saliakas. While Bayern came close to restoring the lead on multiple occasions, St. Pauli held their nerves excellently and finished the half on level terms.
Bayern did not take too long to restore their lead as Olise switched play to Sane on the left side of the box in acres of space, who composed himself before finishing it off. Bayern continued to dominate as St. Pauli struggled to trouble the hosts like they did in the first half. The hosts added the third goal of the night as Olise released Kane, who passed it sideways to find Sane, who got into acres of space again to finish his chance off. There was a tiny scare as Bayern played with ten players in the end because of an injury to Ito, where St. Pauli’s Lars Ritzka scored a fantastic long-range goal to pull one back. There was little time left for St Pauli to score a third, leaving Bayern as the deserving winner.
Bayern Munich will prepare for Augsburg away while St. Pauli will invite Borussia Monchengladbach for their next fixture.
