Joël Drommel - 8.0: A really commanding performance from the keeper. He made five crucial saves, four of them from inside the box, which kept his side level. What stood out to us was his concentration, as he wasn't busy the entire game but was alert when called upon. He claimed the ball well and his distribution was decent enough. A well-earned clean sheet for him.

Defenders

Shurandy Sambo - 6.0: A difficult first half for the defender. He picked up an early yellow card, which seemed to affect his aggression for the rest of his time on the pitch. He was hooked at halftime after struggling to make a significant impact. Lost a few duels and just didn't look comfortable. An off day for him.

Marvin Young - 7.0: Solid and dependable at the back. His 94% pass accuracy shows how calm he was in possession, often starting attacks from deep. He made a very impressive seven clearances, dealing with danger effectively. He was a quiet but very effective part of that defensive unit. Didn't do anything flashy, just did his job well.

Shunsuke Mito - 8.0: A constant menace and a key reason his team won. He won the decisive penalty with a clever piece of play, showing his quick feet and football intelligence. He took six shots, though many were blocked, showing his intent to make things happen. He was tireless, tracking back and contributing defensively too. A fantastic, high-energy performance.

Forwards

Tobias Lauritsen - 8.5: Absolutely the match-winner and our highest-rated player. He showed immense composure to score the decisive penalty late in the game. But his performance was so much more than just that goal. He was a colossal presence up front, winning a staggering 13 duels. What stood out to us was his aerial dominance, winning 10 of 13 aerial battles which is just incredible. He also created four chances for his teammates, showing he's not just a target man. A complete and dominant forward's performance.

Substitutes

Lushendry Martes - 6.5: Came on at halftime and offered more stability than Sambo. Had a shot on target that was well saved. Solid cameo.

Ayoub Oufkir - 6.5: Looked lively after coming on, getting a couple of shots on target and asking questions of the keeper. Good energy.

Lance Duijvestijn - N/A: Didn't have enough time or involvement to warrant a rating.

Kayne van Oevelen - 8.5: Simply outstanding. Despite being on the losing side, he was arguably the best player on the pitch. He made an incredible nine saves, six from inside the box, to keep his team in the game. He could do nothing about the penalty. Without him, this would have been a much heavier defeat. A heroic and defiant performance that deserved better.

Defenders

Deron Payne - 6.0: A fairly quiet 45 minutes before being substituted at halftime. He won most of his duels but didn't offer much going forward. The change seemed tactical to try to get more offensive impetus. He wasn't bad, but he wasn't particularly impactful either.

Mawouna Amevor - 5.0: A very tough evening for the centre-back. He really struggled with the physical presence of Lauritsen, losing seven of his eight duels. He was constantly under pressure and looked shaky. A difficult assignment that he unfortunately failed to handle. A day he will want to forget quickly.

N. Verschuren - 7.0: A warrior-like performance at the heart of the defence. He threw himself in front of everything, making four crucial blocks and five clearances. While he struggled in the air at times, his commitment on the ground was immense. He was a huge reason why Sparta struggled to score from open play.

Yannick Leliendal - 6.5: A solid and determined display from the fullback. He won five of his eight duels and was successful with both of his tackle attempts. He did his defensive duties diligently, though he offered little threat going forward. A disciplined if unspectacular performance.

Midfielders

Ozan Kökcü - 6.5: He was one of the few who tried to provide a creative spark for Volendam. He created three chances and put in some decent crosses.
