Legia Warszawa Vs Lincoln Red Imps Player Ratings

Summary

  • Bartosz Kapustka was the man of the match with a goal, an assist, and a commanding midfield performance.
  • Joe from Lincoln Red Imps had a very difficult game, struggling to contain the relentless Legia Warszawa attack.

Legia Warszawa's performance was nothing short of a demolition job, from the first whistle at the Stadion Miejski Legii Warszawa im. Marszałka Józefa Piłsudskiego, it was clear they meant business. Lincoln Red Imps, to their credit, tried to hold a defensive shape, but the sheer volume of attacks was overwhelming. It was a one-sided affair in the Europa Conference League.

The hosts peppered the goal relentlessly. The breakthrough felt inevitable, and it came from a fine strike by Antonio Colak in the 21st minute. That goal opened the floodgates for what was to come in this match. The visitors' game plan was simply to survive, but they couldn't handle the creative brilliance of players like Bartosz Kapustka.

The second half was a continuation of the first. Legia's dominance grew. Goals from Bartosz Kapustka, and substitutes Mileta Rajovic and Vahan Bichakhchyan sealed the deal. What stood out to us was the impact from the bench, a testament to the squad's depth. Lincoln Red Imps did manage a consolation goal, but it was far too little, far too late in a 4-1 thrashing. Here are Sportsdunia's Legia Warszawa vs Lincoln Red Imps player ratings.

Goalkeeper

Gabriel Kobylak - 6.5: Had one of the quietest nights of his career. He made a single save and distributed the ball with 91% accuracy. Couldn't be faulted for the consolation goal. An easy paycheck for him really.

Defenders

Kamil Piatkowski - 8.0: A colossal performance at the back. He was absolutely dominant in the air, winning 5 of his 7 aerial duels. Kamil Piatkowski also contributed to the attack with two shots, one on target. A commanding display that showed both defensive solidity and a threat going forward.

Marco Burch - 7.0: A very composed and solid outing. He was tidy in possession with a 93% pass accuracy and won his fair share of duels. Gave away three fouls, but it never unsettled him. A reliable presence in the backline.

Arkadiusz Reca - 7.0: Provided great energy and width down the left flank before his substitution. He attempted five crosses and was diligent in his defensive duties, winning three tackles. A strong shift.

Petar Stojanović - 6.5: An active but ultimately frustrating performance. He got into good positions but his final product often let him down. He lost possession 17 times which is too high for our liking. A mixed bag from the defender.

Midfielders

Damian Szymanski - 8.0: The engine room of the team. He was everywhere, breaking up play with five tackles and dictating the tempo with 79 passes. Created three chances and was a constant driving force from deep. A tireless and highly effective performance.

Bartosz Kapustka - 9.0: Just a masterclass. We were left watching in awe at times. He pulled every string, created an incredible 6 chances, scored one, and assisted another. It felt like he had the ball on a string. An easy man of the match and a performance that reminded everyone of his quality. A 9.0 is almost not enough.

Kacper Urbanski - 8.5: What a talent. The youngster was a creative dynamo, providing an assist and creating four chances, including a big one. His movement and vision were exceptional. Kacper Urbanski was a joy to watch before being subbed off for a well-deserved rest.

Forwards

Antonio Colak - 7.5: Did exactly what a striker is paid to do. He opened the scoring with a brilliant long-range effort. He was a constant nuisance for the defense, taking seven shots in total. Missed a big chance but his goal set the tone for the entire match.

Jakub Zewlakow - 7.5: A very lively and intelligent performance. He bagged an assist and created another big chance. His link-up play was excellent and he always looked to make things happen in the final third. A really positive display.

Ermal Krasniqi - 6.5: Worked incredibly hard for the team, recovering the ball 9 times. However, he lacked a bit of composure and quality in front of goal. A decent shift but outshone by his attacking partners.

Substitutes

Vahan Bichakhchyan - 7.5: Came on and immediately looked sharp, capping off his cameo with a well-taken goal.

Mileta Rajovic - 7.5: The perfect impact sub. Scored a towering header just two minutes after entering the pitch.

Rúben Vinagre - 6.5: Slotted in comfortably at the back and helped see out the dominant win.

Claude Gonçalves - N/A: Not enough time on the pitch to warrant a rating.

Noah Weisshaupt - N/A: Brought on late with the game already won.

Manager

I. Astiz Ventura - 8.5: His game plan was executed to perfection. The team was aggressive, creative, and clinical. His substitutions were inspired, with two of them finding the back of the net. A tactical masterclass.

Goalkeeper

Jaylan Hankins - 7.0: It might seem strange to rate a keeper highly after conceding four, but he was genuinely excellent. He made 5 saves, including four from inside the box. Without his interventions, this could easily have been a 7-0 or 8-0 scoreline. He was let down by his defence.

Defenders

Bernardo Lopes - 6.5: The captain fought a losing battle with immense courage. He made an astonishing 14 clearances and blocked 6 shots. He put his body on the line time and time again but was simply overwhelmed. A warrior's effort in a dismantled defence.

Joe - 5.0: A night to forget for the defender. From our perspective, he was completely out of his depth. He struggled to cope with the pace and movement of Legia's forwards. It felt like he was chasing shadows all game.

Nano - 5.5: Ran himself into the ground but was fighting a tidal wave. Losing possession 23 times is a damning statistic. He was just swarmed every time he got the ball and couldn't cope with the pressure.

Rafa Muñoz - 5.5: Lasted just over an hour and had a torrid time. He was unable to offer any defensive security and was hooked after the second goal went in. A tough evening.

Midfielders

Graeme Torrilla - 7.5: What a player. This man was their best performer by a country mile. In just 71 minutes, he won 13 of his 16 duels and made 8 tackles. He was a one-man wrecking crew in midfield, trying to stop an avalanche with a dustpan. A truly heroic individual performance.

Toni García - 6.0: He worked hard, you can't deny that. But he was completely bypassed by Legia's midfield trio. He spent the entire match chasing the ball and couldn't get a foothold in the game.

Toni Kolega - 5.5: A largely anonymous display. His pass accuracy was poor and he offered very little in either defense or attack. The game just passed him by.

Boubacar Sidik Dabo - 6.0: Showed a few neat touches and impressively didn't misplace a single pass. The problem was, he only made 11 of them. Not involved enough to make a real difference.

Forwards

Tjay De Barr - 6.0: The definition of an isolated figure. He won 6 fouls, showing his effort to hold up the ball against the odds. He did, however, miss a big chance in the first half that could have given his team a glimmer of hope.

Nicholas Pozo - 5.0: A ghost. Just 27 touches in 80 minutes for an attacker tells you everything you need to know. He was starved of service and looked visibly frustrated. A thankless task.

Juanje Argüez - 6.0: Tried to get involved but couldn't change the flow of the match.

Ayman El Ghobashy - 5.5: His most notable contribution was getting a yellow card shortly after coming on.

Jesús Toscano - N/A: Too little time to make an impact.

Lee Casciaro - N/A: A late cameo in a decided game.
