Manchester United made a prolific start to the home game at Old Trafford, with Bryan Mbeumo leading the Red Devils’ attack. Everton found themselves in trouble a few minutes into the Premier League game when captain Seamus Coleman limped off the pitch due to an injury.
The home team created a few chances, with the most highlighted one being a long-range strike from Bruno Fernandes. However, his shot was brilliantly denied by the Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.

Moments later, a chaotic situation unfolded in the Everton box, as Gueye engaged in a war of words with his Everton teammate Keane. Things eventually turned worse, and Gueye was shown a straight red for his unacceptable gesture. He was captured slapping his teammate on his face, an action that certainly irked the official.

With Everton going down to ten men, Man United were in the driver’s seat early in the first half. The visitors, however, showed great determination. Despite losing a key player like Gueye, Everton kept on pushing for the opening goal, with Jack Grealish anchoring the play.
Their efforts finally paid off in the 29th minute when Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall scored a screamer, silencing a full-house Old Trafford as Everton took an unexpected lead in the crucial Premier League game.

Manchester United increased their pace after conceding the goal, and Bruno Fernandes sent a few promising aerial passes into the box, but none of them were capitalised on. Casemiro also made some commendable efforts, ensuring that Man United dominated the midfield. Bruno struck another long-ranger in the dying minutes of the first half, but once again, Jordan Pickford stood tall to save the lead. The Man United vs Everton score remained 0-1 at the break in favour of the visitors.

Manchester United started the second half with a man advantage. Mason Mount was called up to boost their attacking power. Everton, however, held their defence well. Even Grealish tracked back to help in the backline. Man United enjoyed superior ball possession but struggled to give the finishing touch. Visibly frustrated by the stubborn defending, Manchester United started trying their luck from outside of the box, with Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro taking a few shots, but they failed to hit the target.

After what happened with Gueye in the first half, Keane looked more charged up, leading the Everton defence. His face-off against Mbeumo was quite entertaining. Despite continuous pressure, Everton remained steady and kept waiting for opportunities to counterattack. Pickford was mostly kept busy by the Manchester United forwards, but the English keeper appeared to be in no mood to surrender. Mason Mount set up a promising chance in the 70th minute, but Bruno Fernandes fumbled the finish.

In the 80th minute, Man United had almost pulled the equaliser, with Joshua Zirkzee going for a smashing header, but once again, Pickford blocked his attempt. The scenario repeated in the stoppage time as well but Man United were unable to manage the equaliser. The Man United vs Everton match finally ended 0-1.
